We cannot sweep over whole streets, but every one of us can sweep our own door-step, and if we will do it quietly and regularly, anon our right and left-hand neighbors will follow, and before long the whole street will be swept. ~ Henry Williams

28 September 2010

Today is the Tomorrow I was Thinking About Yesterday...

What happened to 2010?  I mean, I know it's still 2010, but the last time I blogged was like post-Vegas and I've signed in only to change my profile picture - well it's actually a long story why and I won't bore you with the details - but that's as far as I've made it.

So, the way I figure, I've got the following topics beggin' for a bloggin!

The foods and wines of Australia and New Zealand, which will probably be reduced to "it was delicious," with a couple of photos of pastry cases and long black coffees.

Whitewater rafting in Idaho, soon to be trumped by whitewater rafting for a week in the Grand Canyon.  Grand Canyon > Idaho.

Diva Camping.  Okay, there is no way I can downplay that one.  You can count on Diva Camping coming soon to a blog near you.  [In the meantime, you can read Tracy's blog here as apparently "soon" is relative in my universe.]

And you never know when I might get the urge to bake.

(Two loaves of bread spiced with dill and a dish of bread pudding.)

Herping... Full Billing for the Herps but I've got, like, three thousand photos to weed through.  Okay, maybe it's closer to one thousand, but it's still a lot, and that makes it really, really hard to pick out my favorite good ones!

"Tubing" a rattler with the Queen boys.

Vacay to Colorado.  Oooooh!  That was pretty fun!  Oh, and a couple of days in the field with Steve drilling core.  Very cool.  AND Patrick's tortoises had babies, so there is a new family member in our future.

Boogie at Kelly's Wedding in Colorado.

Logging core at a top secret location...

Yeah, well, you can see the problem.  I'm not keeping up.  I'm a bad blogger, bad.  I'm only slightly better at Facebook, and my email in-boxes are close to  implosion.

Oh, okay!  Here's Idaho (rafting the River of No Return):

I'm second from the front on the left - paddle baby, paddle!

Yup!  That's how it was!  Fabulousness!

Tonight, I'm off to the AHA meeting and tomorrow Tracy and I are Bringin' It and then tomorrow night Tracy and I and Lori are taking a class on concocting herbal remedies.  (I'm skipping to solar oven class this time.)  Mom and Dad arrive Saturday and CAN'T WAIT for Potluck on Sunday at Tracy's.

Maybe I'll blog after AHA tonight while I drink champagne - ooh, ooh, and work on the design in my head for a super sweet wristlet made out of a cigar box 'cause I am way inspired by Tracy's "Wonder Woman" handbag.  And did I mention, I got a TOTALLY awesome dress for my Halloween costume as the Queen of Hearts for Tracy's Tea Party ( Steve is going to be Stayne).  And I need to season the Dutch Oven that Mary gave me that's been sitting on the barbecue since Home Tour in February!

 The Queen of Hearts

Stayne (This looks more complicated than I remember from watching the movie...)

This just in!  BevMo!'s Five-Cent Sale starts TOMORROW!  Gotta dash!

Why, thank you, dear. I am awfully proud of my loaves! It's the psychedelic apron and the LOVE that goes into them that makes them so damn special!

Damn, I somehow missed this for the last two weeks. See what you get when you don’t post regularly? Do you? Cause I don’t really understand what I meant at all.

This was lovely and the pictures were better! I lust over your pics, not just you, although you too, but also your pics.
